To be considered for the Accelerated Internship Program, submit your application by March 1, 2024, for the 2024 summer semester. Qualified candidates will be notified by March 31, 2024, and the 8-week internship will commence on May 13, 2024.

Introducing Your Mentors

At Capital City Bank, we have a team of dedicated mentors who are here to support you throughout your internship experience. Led by Aaron Haynes, our internship program coordinator, our mentors include Whitney Nicola, who specializes in Finance and Accounting, and Aaron Williams, an expert in Technology Support. They will guide and mentor you, providing valuable insights and expertise from their respective departments. Get ready to learn, grow, and excel under their guidance.

Aaron, a coffee aficionado and challenge-seeker, boasts 23 years of experience across Financial, Construction Management, and Civil Engineering sectors. Currently a HR Recruiter at Capital City Bank, he's also a two-time Rotary International Club President and Conference Chair for the NCF Society for HR Management. A volunteer with Food4Kids and a graduate of the Florida School of Banking, his expertise ranges from talent recruitment to client experience. A strategic leader, Aaron mentors the next generation and balances family life with five kids and a granddaughter. A hiking enthusiast and 2022 Argyle Speaker Award recipient, he's now exploring keynote speaking opportunities.

Whitney, a dedicated bank controller at Capital City Bank and Tallahassee native, brings a wealth of expertise in GAAP accounting, Sarbanes Oxley, financial reporting, and compliance. She ensures accuracy and transparency in financial operations, backed by her bachelor's degree in accounting and finance, a master's degree in accounting from the Florida State University College of Business, and certifications as a Certified Public Accountant in both Florida and Georgia. Beyond Whitney’s professional commitments, she actively volunteers with organizations like the Junior League of Tallahassee and is an engaged member of City Church.

With a decade of banking industry experience and a 20-year career spanning diverse sectors, Aaron brings extensive knowledge to his role as technology services and support manager at Capital City Bank, particularly in information technology. His roles have encompassed server administration, network engineering, software development, enterprise data and security consultancy, and leadership positions such as vice president of information technology and chief technology officer. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Aaron is deeply committed to community engagement, having mentored young engineers and scientists and supported STEM initiatives in his hometown of Mobile, Alabama. He also played a pivotal role in introducing hack-a-thons to nurture programming skills for young adults in the Gulf Coast Area.
